Rudy Points
What are Rudy Points? The Rudy Point system was created to provide a common mans review of many aspects of “American Life”. The amount of information and advertising that we are bombarded with every day has made it difficult to see through hype and understand where the fluff stops and quality begins. That’s where we come in….our primary focus will be to provide current and relevant information that clears the smoke and cleans the mirrors to provide you information in the following areas:
Entertainment-
We provide review and the Rudy Point rating system covering the latest movies, concerts, parties, and other entertainment venues. In other words we are trying to arm you with as much knowledge and expertise as possible when asked the question “What’s going on this weekend?” We may even save you from wasting your precious time and money sitting through a really bad movie, dining at an unsatisfactory restaurant, or possibly entering a clothing optional bar when you were looking for a biker bar. (Reminds me of a trip to Key West and……..well that’s another story or possibly a completely different website altogether!) Of course we cannot cover all the cool places at once and will be enlisting the help of carefully selected reviewers throughout the country as our site expands to provide reviews and articles covering all parts of the country.
Products Reviews- We will use a common mans review and approach to all product reviews. We will review items that we have purchased for our own use or have been sent to us for review by companies and agencies. The common man approach is based on four areas of criteria
1. Affordability and availability.
2. Ease of use and clear directions on use.
3. Usability- Does the product fall short, meet, or exceed expectations taken from product description and advertising. So if I review a new fishing reel and it says it self casts and catches fish by itself ……it better.
4. Durability- How does the product stand up in its intended environments and targeted user base? For example… if my twin 3 year old boys receive a Rescue Pack set for Christmas and it lasts until about dinner time before it begins to fall apart or quits working? Guess what Rudy points are going to be hard to come by. Of course, the longer I have to search the garbage can for the original packaging under the remnants of breakfast and other refuse……. then having to call Aunt Millie for the gift receipt…… the lower the Rudy Points.Additional areas of American Life and criteria are currently being considered and developed.
