Phishing Scam – April 16, 2008
Fraudulent Muskegon Commerce Bank Account Information Request
On Wednesday, April 16, 2008, Muskegon Commerce Bank began receiving calls from both customers and non customers regarding the below e-mail. The FRAUDULENT e-mail indicated the customer had a message regarding their account and requested they click here to up read the message. Once you click here you are asked for credit card information.
Should you receive such an e-mail please do not open and delete it.
MUSKEGON COMMERCE BANK EMPLOYEES WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO REPLY TO AN E-MAIL ASKING FOR PERSONAL INFORMATION OR DATA, SUCH AS SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD NUMBER, PIN NUMBER OR ANY OTHER SENSITIVE INFORMATION.
If you have any questions regarding this alert please talk with a bank representative. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
